CALL FOR DEMOS

The demo track allows researchers and practitioners to demonstrate their new and innovative systems while interacting with their audience in an informal setting.  Demo submissions must be based on an implemented and thoroughly tested system that pursues one or more innovative ideas in data analysis, algorithms, system architecture, user interaction, etc.  Each demo submission must make clear which aspects of the system will be demonstrated, and how.

Demos will be peer-reviewed by members of the Demos Program Committee, who will judge the originality, significance, quality, and clarity of each submission. At least one author of each accepted demo paper must register for and attend the conference, and demonstrate the system during the demo sessions (please see the Conference Policies).  Authors of accepted demos may also be required to demonstrate their systems at additional events during the conference.  Each accepted demo paper will be allocated four pages in the conference proceedings; no extra pages can be purchased.  Demo authors are not required to transfer copyright.

At the conference, all accepted demos will be evaluated and considered for the Best Demo Award.

Submission guidelines:
Demo submissions must be in PDF and be formatted according to the ACM SIG Proceedings Template; they must occupy no more than four pages. It is the authors' responsibility to ensure that their submissions adhere strictly to the required format. In particular, the format cannot be modified with the objective of squeezing in more material. Submissions that do not comply with the formatting guidelines will be rejected without review.

Authors of papers that are suitable for the demo track and also (perhaps in longer form) for another track may submit to both tracks.  Demo papers that overlap substantially with another submission must be clearly marked as such.  In the event that demo and poster papers with substantial overlap are both recommended for acceptance, only the demo track submission will be accepted.
