Behavioral Analysis and Personalization

Behavioral analysis and personalization are shaping what the web looks like today arguably more than any other technology. The web is evolving at the pace of continuous A/B tests and lessons learned from analyzing user responses. At the same time, personalized experiences that go from news to ads and include many other pieces of media such as videos or images are part of our everyday experience in the WWW.

In this track we invite original research submissions addressing all aspects of user behavior analysis and personalization. Relevant topics include:

  • User modeling
  • Personalization of the web experience
  • Recommendation approaches and recommender systems
  • Evaluation of recommender systems and other personalization techniques
  • Analysis of usage patterns via user studies
  • User behavior through log analysis
  • Live experiments and A/B testing
  • Web user interface design and analysis
  • Efficient data mining algorithms for large-scale log analysis
  • Metrics for user behavior
  • Personalization and recommendation in the social web
