Ian Ritchie

Ian Ritchie is the non-executive chairman of the Interactive University, an interactive bridge between the leading Scottish universities and students across the globe that wish to study for an internationally recognised qualification without leaving their home country. Scottish Enterprise, Channel 4 and Digital Bridges are just a few of the companies for whom Ian is a non-executive director.

His academic experience includes memberships of the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council, the Scottish Science Advisory Committee and the British Computer Society. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng) and the Royal Society of Edinburgh (FRSE).

Ian serves on the boards of the National Museums of Scotland, the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the Scottish Institute for Enterprise, Bletchley Park Trust, and Dynamic Earth. He was awarded a CBE in 2003 for services to enterprise and education.
