Tim Pearson

Tim Pearson was appointed CEO of RM, the leading supplier of software, services and computing systems to UK schools, in February 2002. He previously held the role of RM learning managing director and had responsibility for Internet and content strategy.

Tim joined RM in 1981 after graduating with a degree in chemistry and microbiology. He has attended the Harvard University Business School advanced management program and is a past chairman of the Internet Service Provider Association.

In the early 1990s he was responsible for establishing RM's software and network engineering activities as a profit centre. In 1994 he set up the group's Internet service provision and online content, taking full technical responsibility for all the software and Internet content in 1995. He was appointed to the board two years later. Tim is married with three children and lives in Oxfordshire.
