Social and ceremonial events
The conference's social and ceremonial events provide the perfect setting to network and unwind at the end of each day.
Monday 3 April: Formal welcome to Perth
There will be a large-scale formal welcome on the eve of the conference. Acknowledging Australia’s indigenous heritage, delegates will enjoy an outdoor event featuring a spectacular indigenous ‘Welcome to Country’ followed by an informal barbecue dinner for all attendees.
Wednesday 5 April: Posters and demos opening reception
The poster and demos opening reception will give conference attendees an opportunity to learn about novel ongoing research projects. The posters are peer-reviewed and aligned with one or more of the same topic areas as the general conference. They will be displayed until Friday.
Thursday 6 April: Gala dinner
The WWW2017 Gala Dinner will showcase some of Western Australia’s best food, with world-class produce, fresh seafood, award-winning locally grown wines, and unique entertainment.
Friday 7 April: Closing ceremony
