We invite research contributions to the Web of Things, Ubiquitous, and Mobile Computing track at the 31st edition of The Web Conference series (formerly known as WWW), to be held online April 25-29, 2022, hosted by Lyon, France (/www2022/).
The Web of Things, Ubiquitous, and Mobile Computing track solicits novel research contributions in the area of Web-based pervasive computing. The track’s emphasis is on exploring how technologies and principles at the core of the Web can support the seamless integration of physical devices and thereby contribute to a more usable, more useful, and less fragmented Internet of Things that can be intuitively accessed and used by devices and human users alike.
The track welcomes submissions of interest not only to academic but also industrial researchers, with works that contribute to the understanding of mobile and pervasive systems through the inclusion of data analysis, experimental findings, novel implementations, deployment experiences, lessons learned, measurement studies, and usability evaluations. We furthermore encourage submissions that incorporate geo-social, urban, sensor and mobile data-driven modeling, as well as studies of technical issues in accessing Web content from mobile or constrained devices.
Please note that any submission for the track must make clear the relevance of the paper to the World Wide Web. Papers for which the relation to the World Wide Web is missing or unclear will be rejected.
Topics include (but are not limited to):
- Web-based Integration and Middlewares for Internet of Things and Web of Things Systems in a Decentralised Setting
- Integration and Interaction with and between Web-enabled Devices in Ubiquitous Computing Environments, including Real-time Communication with Physical Devices and Location- and Context-aware Applications and Services
