Scholarships

This year, the volunteer program is combined with the student scholarship program. If you want to volunteer for the conference, please apply through the scholarship program below.

To apply for a Student Travel Award please follow the steps below.

• Make sure that you are eligible to apply for a The Web Conference 2019 scholarship. You must currently be a student at a higher education institution pursuing B.Sc., M.Sc., or a Ph.D. program.
• Fill out and submit the Student Scholarship Application form.
• Your supervisor should send an email to diego@wikimedia.org by March 20, 2019 confirming that you are a current student under their supervision and that you will be attending the conference. Please comply with the following email format: Subject of the email should be "TheWebConf 2019 Student Support Application Verification for {YOUR NAME}”; text of the email should be: “I confirm that {YOUR NAME} is a student that is currently under my supervision at {INSTITUTION NAME} and that they will be attending TheWebConf 2019 to present work that they completed under my supervision. {SUPERVISOR NAME}.
