W4A Conference Dinner (Monday evening)

Have a chat, relax, and share views and ideas in a more informal setting. Dinner will be arranged for W4A delegates on Monday evening (18:00 - 20:00) at Li Jiang Hall at the Beijing Continental Grand Hotel, which is just next to the BICC Convention Center.

WWW2008 Welcome Reception (Wednesday evening)

Enjoy a nice evening, you can chat with good old friends and meet new ones during the Welcome Reception in the Convention Hall I of BICC. Subject to availability, additional ticket for Welcome Reception can be bought at the registration desk at US$30 (or RMB210) per person.

WWW2008 Banquet (Thursday evening)

Can you imagine yourself dining at the Great Hall of the People like a government officer? The Great Hall of the People is usually used for legislative and ceremonial activities by the People's Republic of China and the Communist Party of China. Also, Sir Tim Berners-Lee will be giving his keynote at this great venue before the banquet. Transportation between BICC and the Great Hall of the People will be provided. Coaches will be departing at 16:00.

Because of the special background of this venue, there are quite many things you have to note before getting into the hall:

1. Before heading for the banquet in the Great Hall of the People, please make sure you DO NOT have your cameras, bags, packets, and other unreasonable belongings with you, but ladies will be allowed to bring with their tiny hand bags.
2. Be prepared for the security check before entering the hall. You may find this security check being stricter than the one you had with the customs at airport.
3. Formal dress/suit would be appreciated.

WWW2008 VIP Dinner (Friday evening)

On the evening of Friday April 25, the WWW2008 organizers and selected guests will be having a dinner together in order to celebrate a successful week in Beijing. This reception is sponsored in part by HITSoftware. Attendance is by invitation only.
