4.5 Mosaic and Physical and Logical LAN Management

Hypertext represents an effective tool for physical network management. It is possible to document and to manage the entire networking infrastructure, including equipment locations, technical characteristics, and physical connectivity. Information tracking about equipment, cables, and cableways is done through the design, installation, configuration and change management phases. It also allows users to track inventory and locate equipment, cables, and cableways. (Fig. 7)
