Abstract:
The power of Mosaic and the simplicity of the HyperText Markup
Language for building hypertext documents have created an opportunity
for educators at all levels to not only introduce hypermedia in the
classroom but to give students the ability to author complex and
meaningful hypertext documents. This paper presents a case study of
one such experiment, focusing on the organization of students'
resulting projects, the relevance of their results to additional projects,
and the increased mastery of course material by the students which
resulted from organizing and building the hypertext projects.
