Robert Wray is currently a doctoral student in computer science at the University of Michigan. Mr. Wray received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Memphis State University in 1988 and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth in 1993. He also worked for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center from 1989 to 1993 as an electronics engineer. Mr. Wray's current research, projects and interests in computer science include: extending traditional artificial intelligence planning paradigms, cognitive models of planning and action, philosophy of mind topics, and exploring techniques for developing and using alternative media for education.

Ronald Chong is currently a second-year doctoral student in computer science at the University of Michigan. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Computer Engineering from Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio, in 1991 and 1993, respectively. His academic interests include: human cognitive and performance models, machine learning, robotics, applied AI, and UM Football.

Joseph Phillips is a doctoral student in computer science at the University of Michigan. Mr. Phillips received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Computer Science from Stanford University in 1989 and received a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry from the University of California Berkeley in 1991. He is on leave from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he has worked as a scientific programmer for two years. Mr. Phillips' research interests in computer science include qualitative physics, machine learning, and applications of Artificial Intelligence to the natural sciences and engineering.

Seth Rogers is a Ph.D. student in computer science and engineering at the University of Michigan. He graduated from Williams College with a B.A. in Computer Science in 1991. Seth's research interests include cognitive architectures, machine learning, machine vision, and computer graphics.

William Walsh is currently an undergraduate senior in Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan. His research and study interests have recently included market oriented programming, cognitive architectures and neural network models of human pattern recognition.

John E. Laird is an associate professor of electrical engineering and computer science and director of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the University of Michigan. He received his B.S. degree in computer and communication sciences from the University of Michigan in 1975 and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University in 1978 and 1983, respectively. His interests are centered on creating integrated intelligent agents (using the Soar architecture), leading to research in problem solving, complex behavior representation, machine learning, and cognitive modeling.
