The Ninth International World Wide Web Conference (WWW9) is the most recent in a series of conferences that began in 1994 and have been held once or twice a year since that time.  These conferences provide a forum for sharing advances in Web technology, and for examining the impacts of the Web on business and on society as a whole.  At WWW9, leaders from industry, academia, and government will present the latest technological developments, and discuss the issues and challenges facing the Web community as it moves into the 21st Century.

Over thirty journalists attended WWW8 in Toronto, and twice that many are expected to attend WWW9.  Therefore, extensive facilities will be available to encourage interaction between conference participants and members of the media.  These include press room, press-interview room, and press-conference room.  Sponsors are encouraged to make use of these facilities for interviews and for business and product announcements.  Sponsors will be given priority over others in the scheduling ofthese facilities.

Sponsorship Opportunities

WWW9 offers a variety of sponsorship opportunities suitable for small as well as large organizations. Sponsors of WWW9 will gain visibility for their companies, demonstrate their support of critical Web-related research and development, and contribute to the success of the conference.

Potential sponsors should send e-mail to sponsors@www9.org with the potential sponsor's contact information including person to contact, telephone number, return e-mail address, level of sponsorship desired, and any other questions.

Sponsorship Levels

Five levels of sponsorship are available depending on the US dollar amount of the contribution:1

Platinum Sponsor $25,000 or more
