Festival of the Web

Perth’s Festival of the Web is eight days of co-located conferences, workshops, talks, exhibitions and events that you won’t want to miss. Bringing together entrepreneurs, academia, industry, government and the community, it offers a series of activities on the future web.

With the academic and standards-focused WWW2017 conference at its heart, it will house streams on:

  • eHealth and eLearning
  • entrepreneurship and startups
  • online games and remote operations
  • big data and the ‘internet of everything’
  • eGovernment and web governance
  • digital culture and maintaining cultural assets
  • semantics of the web.

Join web experts from around the world in this rare opportunity for high-level discussion through workshops, tutorials, panel discussions, seminars, co-located conferences and evening events. There will also be a technical exhibition on how the web will affect how we live in the future.

Opportunities will abound for entrepreneurs, web developers, designers, students and gamers to participate in exciting hands-on activities. Delegates can access and enjoy a social networking haven, daily food themes and nightly events featuring culinary delights of WA. A digital art exhibition and web-focused late-night comedy festival will keep the conversation going.
