During the week from 16th to 20th of April 2012, Lyon will host several major events toward web, scientific, and university communities :
- For the first time, Lyon welcomes the International World Wide Web Conference, at which the world's leading experts meet to design technologies that will shape the web of tomorrow, and to exchange with users.
- This conference also hosts W4A « Web 4 All » about Web accessibility.
- CIUEN, « International Symposium of the University in the Digital Age, gathers all digital actors in higher education, to discuss use of these technologies in educationre.
- A Salon du Numérique open to the public, hosting regional and international actors of the web, sponsors of the conferences or simply demonstrating their expertise.
To position this event at its right place, the organization committee wishes to open it on the local environemnent, organizing the « Off events of the Web ».
