WWW2007 will be held at the fabulous Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. The hotel is located in the resort town of Banff, in the heart of Banff National Park. This elegant historic hotel is nestled spectacularly in the mountains, overlooking Bow Falls and the Bow River Valley. Spectacular views of Cascade Mountain, Mount Rundle, Sulphur Mountain, or the Bow River Valley are available from most of the rooms. The hotel is a 20-25 minute walk from Banff Avenue and the rest of downtown Banff, with its many other hotels, unique shops, and diverse dining experiences. All conference technical sessions will be held at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel and Conference Centre, so there are many reasons to stay there!
Hotel rooms are at a premium in Banff in the summer, both in price and availability. The conference organizers have negotiated a special conference room rate of $279 CDN per night (single or double occupancy), plus service charges ($10 CDN per person per day) and taxes. These rates are 25-60% off the regular summer rates for 2007. The same rate is also available for stays extending up to 3 days before or up to 3 days after the conference dates. Children under 12 stay free when sharing a room with their parents.
For your information, the WWW2007 room block is almost sold out. If you are having difficulty getting the travel dates that you need, then please consider the WWW2007 overflow hotels that we have arranged.
Regardless of your choice of hotel, please make your reservation before the April 5 deadline. After this date, all extra rooms in the WWW2007 room block are released back to the hotel for the general use of Banff tourists. It will be very difficult to get a room after April 5. Seriously!

The hotel offers many amenities that will make your stay special. These include unique shops, delightful restaurants, a fitness room, the Willow Stream Spa, and the warmest outdoor swimming pool in Canada. Make sure to join the Fairmont President's Club well before your visit to enjoy other perks, including restaurant discounts, free in-room wired Internet service, and options for room upgrades and special booking privileges.
There is no provincial sales tax in the Province of Alberta, but there is a 4% Alberta Hotel Tax and a 6% Goods and Services Tax (GST). Visitors to Canada can apply for a GST rebate when they leave Canada.
When making your hotel reservation, please identify yourself as a delegate for WWW2007 so that you are assigned to the conference room block and receive the special conference room rate. The rate is also valid for the weekend before the conference and the weekend after the conference, if you are able to stay a few extra days. Check-in time is 4:00pm. Check out time is 11:00am.
Please make your reservation before the hotel deadline: April 5, 2007.
Please book early to avoid disappointment, particularly if you need a Saturday night stay on either end of your visit. The hotel completely sells out regularly in the summer, especially on weekends! Worse yet, the large Petroleum Industry Annual Safety Seminar (PIASS 2006) is also taking place in Banff that week, making hotel rooms very hard to find. If you plan on coming to WWW2007, please make your hotel reservation now!!
Update:
The hotel is completely sold out for
the night of Saturday May 5.
