Presenter Eamonn Howe, MobileAware co-founder
& Principal Architect, is an expert in telecoms and internet technologies and has 13
years experience in the fixed and wireless telecommunications industry where he has
occupied senior product development, project management and consulting roles with
AT&T, Broadcom Eireann Research and Ericsson. His interests lie in the evolution of
Internet technologies to cope with increasingly diverse media formats and end-user access
systems. Eamonn is a graduate of the University of Limerick and of Dublin City University. Co-author
Dr Rotan Hanrahan is the Chief Innovations Architect for Mobileaware Ltd (Ireland), with
specific responsibility for Research and Technical Standards. He has hosted technology
workshops around Europe and has presented at many industry and corporate events. In
addition to being part of the W3C Advisory Committee, he is also a member of the Device
Independence Working Group, has represented MobileAware in the WAP Forum and is an invited
expert in the Java Community Process. He is a long-term campaigner for "ease of
use" in software systems. |
