Short Abstract:
Opera Software has recently released versions
of the Opera browser with support for small-screen rendering (SSR). SSR has been
specifically developed to make the web accessible on small devices, and our experience
shows that screens ranging from 90-300 pixels benefit from this technology. By using a
combination of CSS, heuristics and hard-coded optimizations, the Opera browser turns
mobile phones into surfboards and give users access to their favorite web sites. The
presentation will give a technical overview of SSR, as well as demonstrations.
