Short Abstract:
Apache Batik is a Java based Toolkit for building applications around the SVG technology. After a short introduction on the Batik project and its architecture the presentation will describe detailed examples on how to leverage Batik for web applications in different possible contexts (including SVG generation, SVG customization or SVG rasterization).
Short Bio:

Component Suite, the ILOG Java visualization framework. He has been involved
with SVG since 1999, representing his company at the SVG W3C Working Group and
participating in the Batik project at Apache.
