Many infostructures are not created with automatic document converters. It would be useful if these could also use WebLinker to maintain their connections to other infostructures. To do this, WebLinker would need to be able to take a legacy infostructure, and extract all external HREFs from it. Then, a LIN could be assigned to each one of these. WebLinker, upon being re-run, would add in the URN attributes to the relevant anchor elements in the HTML documents.
WebLinker could also create a table of all possible points that could be used as fragment identifiers. The maintainer could then select as required.
