Keynote Title : The Web in China: Past,
Present and Future.
Keynote Abstract :
The presentation first introduces the history of Internet development
in
China, with the focus on the role the Web has played. Then some
technical
issues are discussed including the use of the Chinese language,
the Chinese
search engines, the Web based remote education system. A comprehasive
picture of homepage statistics in China is then presented.
Finally, the
Web business model in China is analyzed.
