How the World Wide Web is affecting information technology policy development.
 

Bibliography
Barry is a politician, writer and broadcaster and currently National President of the Australian Labor Party. He has been the Federal Member for  Labor since 1977. He was Minister for Science from 1983 to 1990 and was  created an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in 1993. He enjoys the  rare distinction of having been elected as a Fellow of three Australian  Academies - Science (1996), the Humanities (1993) and Technology, Science  and Engineering (1992).  

Formally a public servant, high school teacher, lawyer, arts administrator and university lecturer, he has worked extensively in radio and television.  He was a member of the Executive Board of UNESCO in Paris (1991-95), Vice  President of the World Heritage Commission (1995-96), a consultant for OECD  and honorary Visiting Professor at the University of Wollongong and the Victoria University of Technology.  

His best known book "Sleeper, Wake!:Techology and the Future of Work" is  now in its 21st impression, having been translated into Chinese, Japanese,  Swedish and braille.
