At the completion of Tim Berners-Lee's keynote address
to
the WWW7 conference, the Southern Cross University
announced
that they had choosen Tim as the receipent of an
Honorary Doctrate
from the University.
Professor Barry Conyngham in announcing the award,
said that
it was being presented in recognition of the way
Tim Berners-Lee's
work in developing the World Wide Web has aided the
ability of
regional universities to better meet the needs of
their students
and the community in general.
