This moring Robert Cailliau, Chair of IW3C2, welcomed Frans
De Bruine,the Director of Information Market Policies, European Commission
to WWW7 and invited him to present the Opening Keynote address of the Business
Track.
During his address Frans De Bruine emphasised the fact that
"Technology Must Be Global"
He also discussed the position of the European Community
and it current focus on technology both at home and from the global perspective.
"The Information market has more competition, which means
the user gets more choice"
