Previously, he taught Computer Science at Vassar College, taught at and received his Ph.D. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and accumulated over 14 years of teaching experience before moving to industrial research. |

Visit Lyon and its famous "Old City" Saint Jean district. The splendour of the Renaissance is marvellously expressed in Old Lyon, including St Jean and its cathedral, St Paul and St Georges. The "traboules" (passageways) are most numerous here, weaving a network of secret passages between the streets, via vaulted corridors and interior courtyards leading out onto Renaissance galleries.
