Conference Registration

The Passport Ticket and Student Passport Ticket includes attendance to the whole conference from Monday 22nd - Friday 26th, including all tracks (business, developers, W3C, research papers, panels, workshops, tutorials), refreshments and lunches, together with the evening welcome reception at Edinburgh Castle on Wednesday 24th May. Should you only wish to attend one, two or three days of the conference, there is a daily conference rate which includes all events taking place during the day, refreshment and lunch but excludes any evening social events.

Registration Fees

There will not be an early booking rate or deadline, instead we will offer a limited number of reduced price Early Bird Passport Tickets on a first come first served basis. The registration fees for this conference are as follows:

Student Passport Ticket£450(£250 if accompanying a full passport holder details)
Standard Passport Ticket£750
One Day Attendance£250
Two Days Attendance£500
Three Days Attendance£750(£550 until 31st March 2006)

Should you be planning to book a group of 5 or more delegates to attend either the whole conference or a specific day, please contact the WWW2006 Conference Team to discuss the possibility of a group discount.

Workshop and Tutorials Tracks

You are required to sign up to any Workshops or Tutorials that you may wish to attend throughout the week.

Please refer to the programme section for further details.

Please be assured that workshops and tutorials will not be cancelled unless unforeseen circumstances occur. All tutorial sessions listed are subject to contract.

Accommodation

Accommodation is available at a range of hotels and self-catering apartments in Edinburgh. Please complete the online booking form to make a request for accommodation. Payment for all accommodation booked is to be settled with the hotel direct upon departure together with any room extras. A valid credit card number must be given when making your booking, as this is required to guarantee your booking. Please ensure that your credit card will still be valid at the time of the conference.

We are unable to make any accommodation bookings without a valid credit card.

All cancellations and/or changes must be notified to In Any Event UK Ltd in writing. You will be charged for any accommodation booked through In Any Event UK Ltd, which is not subsequently cancelled with them. In the event of accommodation being cancelled up to 7 days before your arrival date or a non-arrival, the hotels reserve the right to charge to your credit card the cost of any accommodation, which they have been unable to resell.

Please note that this online accommodation booking service will close on 1 May 2006. You must make sure that you request accommodation before this date to avoid disappointment.

If you have already registered for the conference but did not book accommodation at the same time, you are still able to do so. Simply click here to download the Accommodation Booking Form, complete and return to the Conference Office as indicated. Your online booking will updated with your accommodation request and a member of the Conference Office will in touch with you to confirm your hotel booking details.

Registration FAQ

I cannot attend the conference — can a colleague attend in my place?
Yes it is possible for someone to attend in your place if you are unable to attend after registering. Please notify the conference office in writing to: registrations@inanyevent-uk.com as soon as possible with the full name, job title, organisation, contact tel and email for the person that is attending in your place.
Can I pay for my conference fee by BACS/direct bank transfer?
No, sorry (!) — the payment method for conference fees is by cheque or credit card ONLY. You will be automatically sent an invoice by email when you complete your online registration. You will be asked to choose a payment option (cheque or credit card) and will be given instructions accordingly. How do I find out about VISA requirements for Scotland?

I require an official invitation letter to support my VISA application - how do I get one of these?

NB: The Conference Office reserves the right to request full payment of all registration fees before a VISA support letter is issued.
