Figure 3 shows a BrailleNote device from HumanWare, a note-taker in the size of 9.9 inch x 6.1 inch x 2 inch, and a weight of 2.2 lbs. It has an 18-cell braille display for output, and 9 buttons for braille-dot based input (8 buttons for the 8 braille dots and one space button). A speaker is built in for audio output. On the front side there are 4 buttons used for navigating the braille display.
