David Crossley was educated at Nowra, New South Wales, Australia and received the Bachelor of Surveying degree from the University of New South Wales in 1981. He studied further to become a Registered Cadastral Surveyor in 1985. After working for five years in private practice he went on to the University of Canberra to undertake a Graduate Diploma in Computing Studies.
In 1992 David joined the Environmental Resources Information Network and worked on data set loading and quality control, and as scientific computing support on the Cape York Peninsula Land Use Strategy. He is now Geographic Information Systems Manager at ERIN.
