Alberto Aimar is a staff member in the ECP division at CERN. He graduated from the Department of Computer Science of Torino with a thesis on interactive data analysis. After one year as research assistant at the Database Laboratory of the Swiss Institute of Technology in Lausanne, he returned to CERN to work in data-driven distributed control. He wrote the graphics conversion routines for WebMaker.

James Casey is currently a Summer Student at CERN. He was awarded an Entrance Exhibition to Trinity College Dublin to study Mathematics in 1991. His work includes system design & development for WebLinker. Current interests include resource naming schemes and hypertext-based system management tools.

Nikos Drakos has been a research fellow at the Computer Based Learning Unit in the University of Leeds since 1990. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Computational Science in 1986. He received his PhD. at the University of Leeds in 1990 for work on the Parallel Execution of Logic Programs. In 1993 he created LaTeX2HTML one of the most popular conversion tools for publishing documents on the World Wide Web. His current interests include visual programming, object-oriented programming, hypertext authoring techniques and wide-area network information systems.

Ian Hannell is a Doctoral student in the Programming Techniques Group at CERN and is currently researching into Software Quality and Process Improvement for High Energy Physics. In addition to holding a Higher National Diploma in Computer Science he also graduated from the University of Sunderland, England, with a BSc degree in Information Technology with a thesis on MetaCASE tool technology. He is Process Engineer for WebMaker.

Arash Khodabandeh is a member of the Programming Techniques Group at CERN with experience in CASE tools and methodologies. He is responsible for the Software Development Tools Service of CERN PTG. He has an Engineering degree in Computer Science from ENSIMAG (Grenoble Computer Science and Applied Mathematics Engineering School) and a DEA (MSc) from INPG (Grenoble Polytechnical Institute). He is the Distribution and Unix Engineer on WebMaker.

Paolo Palazzi is a senior experimental physicist at CERN, and Leader of the Programming Techniques Group. While working on the analysis software of several CERN experiments, he contributedto the design of the HBOOK histogramming package, of the HEPPI bibliographic system and of the ADAMO ER programming environment. His current interests are data analysis environments for particle physics data, information systems for collaborative work, software engineering and data bases. He is the Product Manager for WebMaker.

Bertrand Rousseau is a fellow at CERN. His work focuses on Object-Oriented Software Development, and especially on automatic code generation for OO languages and on documentation systems. He designed WebMaker along with Mario Ruggier, and also implemented the main converter for WebMaker.

Mario Ruggier is a Scientific Associate at CERN with undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Performing Arts from SFU, Vancouver. At CERN he has worked on the design and implementation of automated documentation systems, and produced a demo version of a hypertext journal for physics on the World Wide Web. He designed WebMaker with Bertrand Rousseau and is in charge of user and system documentation.
