The Vendors Track provides WWW10 attendees the opportunity to hear directly from the companies whose commercial products shape the World Wide Web we each experience. Presentations will be technical, and focused on how vendors are integrating support for Internet technologies into their products. Presentations providing a technical vision for the future of the web will also be considered. The deadlines below reflect the goal of enabling late-breaking topics to be incorporated into the WWW10 conference.
Presentations will typically last 30 minutes (6-10 slides), followed by 15 minutes for questions from the audience. The allocation of time between presenting and Q&A is flexible, but presentations will be firmly limited to 45 minutes.
Important Dates:
|
- March 12, 2001 |
| - March 28, 2001 |
- Finals presentations received for printed handouts:
| - April 16, 2001 |
Submissions:
Presentations can be submitted in either PowerPoint or HTML formats, unless other arrangements are approved in advance. To receive detailed information on uploading your submission, contact the Track Chair via vendors@www10.org.hk.
Selection Process:
Submissions will be reviewed by the Vendors Track committee, and selected based on technical content (sample code is good, marketing fluff is bad), use of specifications developed by standards initiatives and activities, relevance to conference attendees, and availability of the products being discussed. Presentations from exhibitors will be preferred, to enable attendees to engage the presenter/exhibitor in more detailed discussions in the exhibition area after the presentation.
