Chris Jones

As vice president of the Client Group in the Windows Division, Chris Jones is responsible for developing the next generation of Windows desktop operating systems, for both home and business users. As part of this role, he manages the development of the Windows user interface, Web client technologies, DirectX, and printing and imaging components.
Previously Chris held roles as General Manager and Group Program Manager on Internet Exploer, and worked with the team to ship versions 3.0, 4.0, and 5.0. At Microsoft, he has also held positions in program management ranging from consumer e-mail to desktop publishing. He joined Microsoft as a Program Manager on Microsoft Publisher in 1991.
Chris has a bachelor's degree in Mathematical and Computational Sciences from Stanford Univiersity.
