Hong Kong
International Airport is served by a highly efficient and
comprehensive transportation network. Connected to the passenger
terminal, the four-level Ground Transportation Centre
houses the station for the Airport Express railway and an
extensive public transport interchange with facilities for
taxis, franchised buses, tour coaches, hotel limousines and
private cars. Baggage trolleys can be found at all passenger
drop-off points and free porter service is available at the
passenger terminal departures kerbside. |

The
Airport Express is a dedicated airport railway line providing
fast and reliable service operating daily from 0600 to 0130
hours at 10-minute intervals. The journey to or from downtown
Hong Kong takes approximately 23 minutes. Free In-town
Check-in service and free porter service are available at Hong
Kong and Kowloon Stations. Outbound passengers can check in
their baggage the same day up to 90 minutes before take-off.
Free shuttle service transports passengers between all major
hotels and Hong Kong or Kowloon Station at 20-minute
intervals. |

Taxi
stands are located on the north side of the Ground
Transportation Centre (the left-hand ramp if you are leaving
from the Arrivals Hall). Separate aisles are designated for
different taxis:
- Urban
(red) taxis serve all destinations throughout Hong Kong
including the airport
except Tung Chung Road and roads
in south Lantau
- New
Territories (green) taxis serve only the New Territories and
specified roads on
Lantau and the airport for access
to/from the Ground Transportation Centre
- Lantau
(blue) taxis serve all destinations in Lantau and the
airport
Taxi
passengers using the Lantau Link are required to pay an
additional toll fare of HK$30 irrespective of the direction of
travel, and additional fares are also charged for using toll
tunnels. Taxis are not allowed access to Discovery Bay.

Departing
passengers can be dropped off at the passenger terminal
departures kerb. However, collecting passengers at the
departures kerb is prohibited. There are three*
ground-level car parks and one multi-storey car park providing
hourly, daily or monthly parking. All four car parks with
designated pick-up and drop-off zones offer complimentary
30-minute parking for the convenience of arriving and
departing passengers. Special parking spaces close to the
passenger terminal and lifts are reserved for the disabled.
